Achievements & Rewards

Achievements feed one account-wide pot of achievement points — every hero of every class earns toward the same pool — and the Rewards tab turns those points into permanent account upgrades: perks, companions, tabards and unlocks. Here's what each achievement asks, what each reward actually does, and the one reset rule you should know before you spend.

Checked against v0.123.0Updated October 28, 2026

Two currencies — don't mix them up

The game runs two separate out-of-run progress systems, and they never touch:

Talent pointsAchievement points
Earned byTalent experience, tracked per classAchievements, tracked account-wide — every hero of every class feeds the same pool
Spent inThe Armory (talent trees)The Rewards tab
BuysIn-tree talents and milestonesPerks, companions, tabards and unlocks
Taking backFree — right-click a spent point in the treeOnly via Reset perks, a limited count per save (see below)

The full talent system has its own page: Talents — out-of-run progression.

The Rewards tab — what your points buy

The Rewards tab sells four kinds of things, and the game is explicit about who owns them: perks and tabards are the account's — every hero of every class has them. Earn achievements for more points. The same goes for companions, which follow every hero you play.

Perks

PerkRanksWhat it does
Second Thoughts 3 One more free reroll every run (rank 2: two more; rank 3: three more).
Banish 3 Once a run, banish a card: it never comes up again that run, and the hand is dealt again (ranks 2–3: twice, then three times a run).
Skip 1 Pass on any level-up hand and take some gold instead.
Opening Hand 1 Your first level-up of every run deals four cards.
Veteran's Lessons 2 A class with less talent experience than your best earns +20% (rank 2: +40%) more — the catch-up for alts.
Keen Eye 2 Bosses are 5% (rank 2: 10%) more likely to drop each gear piece.
Companion 1 A companion follows you through every run, sweeping coins and experience wisps up to 25 yd beyond your pickup radius. It has its own pickup radius (a quarter of yours) and rests 2 sec between trips — never a magnet or a cache.
Long Leash 3 Companions fetch up to 35 / 45 / 55 yd beyond your pickup radius.
Quick Paws 3 Companions run 20% / 40% / 60% faster and rest 1.6 / 1.3 / 1 sec between trips.
Gold-sniffer Instinct A companion goes for coins first, and the coins it fetches are worth 10% more. One instinct per companion.
Wisp-herder Instinct A companion goes for experience wisps first, and takes them from twice as far. One instinct per companion.
Rune-hound Instinct A companion also fetches battleground runes — those first. One instinct per companion.
Second Companion 1 A second companion runs with the first, with an instinct of its own.

Every point cost above is a property of the game's own data files, which its readable text doesn't spell out — so this table lists effects and ranks, not prices. Instincts stack one to a companion; the first instinct you buy applies to your first companion.

Companions — the vacuum cleaners of Azeroth

A companion is a small critter that trails your hero and hoovers up the coins and experience wisps that land outside your pickup radius — up to 25 yd beyond it at baseline, with a pickup radius a quarter the size of yours and a 2-second rest between trips. The game is precise about what it is not: never a magnet or a cache — it only grabs what dropped on the ground.

Upgrades and instincts, all bought from the same tab:

Companions named in the current build: Squirrel, Snowshoe Rabbit, Crimson Macaw, Great Horned Owl, Tree Frog, Black Kingsnake, Sprite Darter, Black Whelpling, Zergling, Westfall Chicken, Undercity Cockroach, Panda Cub.

Tabards

Pure cosmetics. The game's own text: a look for your heroes' tabard slot; it adds nothing — and battleground tabards come with their zone's achievement, so the battle tabards you earn double as trophies for the zones you cleared. Tabards survive a perk reset.

All 21 tabards in the current build's table: Stormwind Tabard · Tabard of Lordaeron · Tabard of Stromgarde · Tabard of Theramore · Tabard of Dalaran · Darkmoon Faire Tabard · Tabard of Flame · Tabard of Frost · Alliance Officer's Tabard · Tabard of the Alliance · Horde Officer's Tabard · Tabard of the Horde · Tabard of the Argent Dawn · Contest Winner's Tabard · Silverwing Battle Tabard · Arathor Battle Tabard · Defilers Battle Tabard · Stormpike Battle Tabard · Frostwolf Battle Tabard · Scarlet Crusade Tabard · Warsong Battle Tabard.

Unlocks

The fourth section lists extras gated behind named achievements — each entry reads “Earn the achievement {name} to unlock”. The build also carries hero customization options (hairstyles, horn styles and colors, earrings, facial hair, markings, piercings and more) that these unlocks feed.

The perk reset rule — read this before you spend

Perks can be undone, but not one at a time. The Reset perks button takes back every point you have spent on perks at once, to spend again — and each save holds a limited number of resets (the button counts down: so many of so many left on this save). Tabards are kept through a reset. How many resets a save starts with is a data-file number the build's text doesn't state, so we won't invent one.

Contrast with talents: spent talent points can be taken back individually in the tree, for free, as often as you like. Two very different refunds — don't plan your perk budget the way you plan talent re-speaks.

What earns the points — the achievement list

The v0.123.0 list counts 124 achievements in seven families: Zones 24 · Classes 20 · Collection 14 · Feats 26 · Lifetime 15 · Co-op 16 · Heroic 9 (read off the live achievements screen on October 28, 2026, entries cross-checked against the build’s string table). Each award pops with its point value (“Achievement earned: {name} (+n)”); the tables below keep to names and requirements.

Performance feats

The fourteen run-based feats below (plus the twelve boss challenges further down) make up the Feats family’s 26 entries, read off the live Feats screen and the v0.123.0 build. Against the Odds now reads “Heroic III or harder” (it used to be the old four-enemy-modifier max), and Humble Beginnings lives here too, not under Zones.

Achievements & rewards FAQ

What are achievement points and where do I spend them?
Every achievement awards points, and the points are account-wide: every hero of every class earns them for the same pool. The v0.123.0 list counts 124 achievements in seven families (Zones 24, Classes 20, Collection 14, Feats 26, Lifetime 15, Co-op 16, and a new Heroic family of 9). You spend the points on the Rewards tab, which sells perks, companions, tabards and unlocks. Talent points are a separate currency earned per class — see our talents guide.
What is Heroic difficulty?
New on v0.123.0: every zone carries Heroic tiers I–V on top of its normal run. Per the build's own strings, Heroic "makes the zone harder for more marks, boss loot and talent experience", and beating Heroic N in a zone opens the next tier there for every class. Marks are the new currency these runs pay out. Nine Heroic-family achievements track the climb, up to Champion of Naxxramas (Heroic V in Naxxramas, unlocking the Crusader weapon glow) and the full-class Radiant Armory (Fiery Weapon glow). We have not yet run a Heroic game ourselves, so no strategy advice yet.
How do I get a companion?
The Companion perk on the Rewards tab grants your first companion — a critter that follows every hero of every class and sweeps up coins and experience wisps you would otherwise miss. The Second Companion perk adds another, each with its own instinct (coins-first, wisps-first, or runes-too). Upgrades extend its reach (Long Leash) and speed (Quick Paws).
Can I undo a perk purchase?
Yes, but it is not free-form: the Reset perks button takes back every point spent on perks at once, and each save has a limited number of resets (the button counts them down). Tabards are kept through a reset. This is different from talent points, which you can take back one at a time in the talent tree at no cost.
What is the difference between talent points and achievement points?
Two systems, two currencies. Talent experience is earned per class and turns into talent points spent in the Armory on your trees. Achievement points are earned account-wide by every hero of every class and are spent on the Rewards tab (perks, companions, tabards, unlocks). Nothing you buy with achievement points touches your talent builds, and vice versa.
Are there co-op achievements?
Yes — the current build lists sixteen group achievements, up from fourteen on v0.120.4: Matching Outfits and Raid Night are the two new entries (Raid Night demands Heroic III or harder in a full party of five). Two existing entries also moved to Heroic — Against All Odds and The Old Gods Have No Friends now read "Heroic III or harder". From Better Together (complete your first zone with another player) to Together, To the End (complete all 12 zones, each with at least one other player); several demand full five-player classes, like Jurassic Pack: complete Un'Goro Crater in co-op with 5 Hunters. Examples and the co-op basics are on our co-op guide.
Do tabards do anything?
No — a tabard is a look for your heroes' tabard slot, and the game says outright that it adds nothing. Battleground tabards come with their zone's achievement, so they double as trophies. Perks and companions are the functional rewards; tabards are the bragging rights.
